Drive by P. F. Chang’s in McAllen on any given weekend, and you’re likely to see an hour long line every time.  Consequently, I expected the place to be pretty amazing, the way that a bulldog on a skateboard is pretty amazing.  Ya know, a little wow factor.  Otherwise, what the hell is everybody waiting for?

But instead of wow, I got hmm… that was ok.

Yeah, I know this is like a week late, but I’ve been out of town since last Monday, plus I’m lazy. Also, I’m beginning to hate people so my motivation to do anything productive is waning.

Call it disillusionment with humanity if you like, but it seems every time I leave the house, I come home wishing I’d strangled at least two or three of the people I’d met that day, with the expectation that it would actually make the world a better place.

Perhaps my expectations are unrealistic. Perhaps I’m setting the bar too high. Maybe I’m just a dick.

Despite the horrible tan I got over the 4th of July, I brushed it off and went to SUITE 701 last night (Friday) for the first time and I have to say I was quite impressed. It’s a lounge where the comfort level was sky high, the music was intense, the bartenders were outstanding, and the crowd was in good shape.

If you go to the Yacht Club on a Friday night and they make you stand in line, it’s not because they don’t like you. It’s because yes…there are that many people inside. Be patient. With all the hotties in the club, it is totally worth the wait.

We’ve got photos from BOTH Glam @Mint and Lust @Plush so everybody please stop fighting. It makes me sad like an adopted ADHD child with alcoholic parents who just lost his blind puppy.

Anyway, props to both clubs for pushing Thursday nights to the absolute limit! Samantha and Ivan had plenty of good things to say about both clubs but I wasn’t really listening so you’ll just have to check them out for yourself.
